SUMMER COOL IS IN THE AIR AND EVERYWHERE AT GIRRAWEEN!

The Year has come and gone faster than Rudolf on skates & rumour has it that Santa is getting

prepared for the countdown to Christmas with a visit to our doorstep.  We ended our most 

beautiful Spring, which was as wonderous as always, out here on the Granite Belt.  We are STILL

 the coolest place in Queensland and although the cold is moving on, our coolness will simply shift to cool 

summer fun!  It's time to get the kids off the mobile, TV and computer and have them running around 

outside, checking out Mother Nature's television show.

Summer is our "coolest" time of the year on the Granite Belt, with Santa on the horizon and the 

nights lit up with a plethora of summer time sky stars.  The days warm up for the swimming & outside time 

joys, walks are comfortable and enjoyable, while the nights decend into  perfect sleeping times. Trips to 

taste the amazing wine & cheeses of the region are delightful as you soak up the  Summer time sun and 

enjoy the longer days. Add to all this the arrival of our summer rains and the bush becomes magical. This 

is the perfect way to unwind and completely forget the outside world. 

With the spectacular aura of Summer time, created as only Mother Nature can do, you will feel 

like you are in a botanical wonderland.  There are granite outcrops begging to be climbed, you will be 

constantly amazed and on the move or of course you can always sit back, relax and just laze in your own 

private chalet watching a DVD, playing a board game, reading a book or taking a snooze as the mood 

takes you.  No internet, TV or mobile - disconnect from the outside world and reconnect with each other.
