Super Team

Due to new deal made by our governing body, accommodation sites are no longer able to publish any special deals or rates that are less than what you would get on a booking site such as expedia,, airbnb, agoda etc.

As most of these sites charge a substantial booking fee to the accommodation houses, it is generally covered by having higher prices on the booking sites than their own sites, so people can book direct and save. The new deal brokered no longer makes this an option. But you can still save! When you book your accommodation from now on - be sure to send an email direct or contact direct via phone 07 4684 5138 - avoid using booking buttons or online booking sites to ensure you get the best deals!!!

The Autumn season has come and gone and it truly doesn't feel like we are over Easter quite yet.  Now we are coming into our coolest months and our most popular and most wonderous time of year out here on the Granite Belt.  With such an amazing Autumn of colour extraordinaire and the occassional day of heat, we being the coolest place in Queensland are now ready to emrace the crisp cool time of Winter. You can expect spectacular blue skies, a bracing breeze, a frost covered ground and the beauty of the winter granite colours.  Our parrots, ducks and lorikeets are still trilling, the kangaroos are still hopping but the snakes and wombats have gone to ground.  It's time to get the kids off the mobile, tv and computer and have them running around outside, checking out mother natures television show or snuggled playing board games with each other in front of the fires.

One of our most favourite times of the year on the Granite Belt, the night skies are lit up with a plethora of stars to toast marshmallows under. The days are superb, with brilliant clear blue forget-me-not skies, rays of sunshine and a brisk chill make for perfect walking weather .  Skip to and and take a bracing dip in the beautiful outdoor plunge pools through the day or relax in the temperature contolled outdoor spa, it is the perfect way to unwind with no interruptions from the outside world.

With the flaura and fauna to wonder at, granite outcrops begging to be climbed, you will be constantly amazed and you can always sit back relax and just laze in your own private chalet watching a dvd, playing a board game, reading a book or taking a snooze as the mood takes you.  No internet, tv or mobile - disconnect from the outside world and reconnect with each other.

Don't forget to check out our facebook pics

Kai our new little (not so much now) addition to the family here at Girraween, is waiting to meet and greet you, he is so looking forward to seeing all our regulars and excited to meet our new first time guests. Don't forget to get in early we don't want anyone to miss out!.  Come on out, book and stay for mother natures free to all show on the Granite Belt.

Of course there are still always the roaring, toasty fires to relax in front of with a glass of red and chocolate from the chocolate shop down the road.  Take a natures wonder Granite Belt break for Winter, embrace the cold and watch nature come alive.

Hope to see you here soon!!!
Kelly & Kai
